The 2024 Honda CR-V Pricing, Specs, Release Date – The 2024 Honda CR-V has a completely redesigned exterior and interior to help it compete in the highly cutthroat small SUV market. The redesigned CR-V, which is larger and has more inside room, is set to improve upon its already impressive utility. The cabin is both stylish and technologically advanced, with a 9.0-inch touchscreen entertainment system that comes standard with wireless CarPlay and Android Auto, as well as other features. Adaptive cruise command, blind-spot monitoring, and lane-keeping assist are just a few driving aids that come standard on every CR-V. The base engine is a turbo-four producing 190 horsepower, but a hybrid system producing 204 hp is available as an upgrade. They are both compatible with either front-wheel or all-wheel drive. To determine if or not Honda’s claims that the 2024 CR-V provides a more exciting and refined driving experience are accurate, we will need to get behind the wheel of one.
Honda will release the sixth version of its CR-V small SUV in 2024. It’s more spacious inside, has a more elegant look and feel, and is equipped with more high-end amenities than its predecessor. The continuously variable automatic gearbox (CVT) and all-wheel-drive system are touted as upgrades over their predecessors. Honda claims that the base turbo-four engine is now faster and more economical. The new CR-V is said to have better handling and ride quality because the suspension parts have been fine-tuned, the structural elements are more substantial, and the front and back tracks are more comprehensive.

The 2024 Honda CR-V Redesign
Honda’s description of the redesigned CR-V as “rugged and refined” is a tired cliché. Despite the generic name, the design is reminiscent of the Ridgeline pickup and the Passport TrailSport. A new L-shaped taillight cluster sits at the end of the body, which connects to the prominent grille in front. The EX and EX-L trims get a black gloss grille with chrome accents, while the Sport and Sport Touring siblings get a more bold bumper design and a black mesh grille. In addition, the last two have been given rectangular exhausts to set them further apart. A roof-mounted spoiler is standard on all models, and it comes in either matte black or glossy black on the Sport and Sport Touring. The three base versions ride on a pair of 18-inch wheels with a Berlina Black finish, while the Sport Touring moves up to a set of 19-inch split five-spoke alloys.
Though the official Honda CR-V exterior colors haven’t been revealed, the debut vehicle has been shown off in what looks to be a new dark blue and two shades of gray. Colors like white, black, and red have always been Honda standbys, so you can count on them joining. In this scenario, significant upgrades result in a larger car. The 2024 CR-V’s length and wheelbase both grew by 2.7 inches. The redesigned layout allows for an additional 0.45 inches of breadth. The dimensions are 184.8 inches long, 106.3 inches wide, and 73.4 inches tall, and the wheelbase is 106.4 inches. The unknown is how much heavier the new CR-V will be compared to the outgoing model’s 3,337-pound starting point.

Interior
The air vents of The 2024 Honda CR-V are hidden under a stylish honeycomb-textured inlay that spans the entirety of the dashboard. Surrounding the driver’s eye line at all times is a partly digital gauge cluster consisting of an analog speedometer and a 7.0-inch display on which they may toggle between several menus of helpful information. Honda claims that the front seats in the new CR-V are made to reduce driver fatigue on lengthy trips. There is plenty of hold space in the middle console between the front seats, and the rear seats recline to provide an extra 0.6 inches of legroom over the previous CR-V. Cargo capacity is 36 cubic feet behind the second row or 39 cubic feet in the gas-only variants with the load floor lowered.
A 7.0-inch touchscreen controls the CR-Infotainment V’s system on EX and Sport models. It is compatible with CarPlay and Android Auto and has physical controls for volume and tuning. A 9.0-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto is standard on the EX-L and Sport Touring. A tuning knob isn’t included in the larger display, but there are two USB-C outlets for the back seat passengers and wireless phone charging. Only the CR-V Sport Touring trim level comes standard with a 12-speaker Bose sound system.

Engine
For this next-generation 2024 Honda CR-V, Honda is consolidating its conventional and hybrid SUV offerings into a single brand. The standard Honda CR-V is powered by a 1.5-liter Civic Si turbocharged four-cylinder engine good for 184 hp and 172 lb-ft of torque; the EX and EX-L models increase those figures to 190 hp and 179 lb-ft. The latter has a more excellent range between 1,700 and 5,000 rpm, coming 300 rpm earlier than previously. The machine is mated to a front-wheel drivetrain through a CVT. Getting into the Sport and Sport Touring trim levels boosts the engine size to 2.0 liters but eliminates the turbo. A new two-motor side-by-side hybrid system is combined with the 2.0-liter four-cylinder Atkinson cycle motor. The design makes 204 horsepower and 247 pound-feet of torque, which is three horsepower more than the last generation of the hybrid CR-V.
All-wheel drive is still an available extra on lower grades but is standard on the Sport Touring. Along with the usual Normal, Econ, and Snow modes, all-wheel drive now comes with a brand-new Hill Descent Control. The Sport mode is available on the Sport and Sport Touring versions. It is expected that the 1.5-liter turbo versions would get the same 28/34/20 mpg city/highway/combined as the current crossover, while the Sport and Sport Touring, thanks to a new hybrid system, could achieve more fuel economy than the 40/35/38 mpg of the 2024 CR-V Hybrid.
The 2024 Honda CR-V Release Date and Price
Honda announced the 2024 CR-V in July 2023, and the delivery date is summer 2024 (although the hybrid vehicles won’t be available until later in the year). Honda has not released any statement on the cost of the 2024 CR-V, but the company has assured customers that they would get a lot of vehicles for their money. It must maintain that price if it wants to compete with the Toyota RAV4, which sells for between $27,000 and $38,000. Prices for the current CR-V are similar to these. Thus any increase will likely be minimal.
