Next-Gen 2024 Honda S2000 Interior, AWD, Release Date – The rear-drive roadster pleasure of Honda’s two-seat, four-wheeled sportbike is delivered by a wonderfully well-balanced chassis. Powered by a high-revving four-cylinder engine generating 237 horsepower and mated to a six-speed manual transmission. It has a noisy interior and a small trunk, but who cares when the engine revs to 8,000? With a firmer suspension and other aero equipment like a giant wing, the S2000CR is a true track rat.
The 2024 Honda S2000 received high marks for its race car performance from critics thanks to its all-wheel drive, 2.2-liter four-cylinder engine, and six-speed manual transmission. However, critics noted that maintaining a high RPM was necessary to achieve that performance. The single gearbox option is a stick shift, which critics have praised for its smooth shifting. Fuel economy of 18/25 mpg in the city or highway is about par for a sports vehicle in this price range, making the S2000 a good choice. Critics praised the S2000’s “excellent handling characteristics,”, especially on curvy roads. They did, however, mention that long trips on uneven roads are made more unpleasant by a vehicle with a firm suspension.

Next-Gen 2024 Honda S2000 Redesign
The S2000 can’t be confused with the Mazda Miata. This elegant machine has a sculpted body and temptingly flared arches, making it a fantastic choice for any day of the week. It seems like it’s permanently set up somewhere, ready to pounce at any second. The S2000 CR goes even farther with a race-inspired retractable roof, seatback cowls, and a substantial rear wing. It’s the only hardtop version of the Honda S2000. To have a design seem modern even after ten years is a testament to how well it was executed; this design will endure in beauty.
The standard trim receives dual-outlet exhaust pipes, an electrically driven soft top (which is still among the quickest-dropping roofs in the business), and a remote entry system with automatic trunk release. The lightweight aluminum hood and light alloy wheels (silver on the base trim and gray on the CR) contribute to the vehicle’s overall low curb weight.

Interior
We’re glad the S2000’s design philosophy doesn’t permit a luxurious cabin. Nothing fancy, but everything you need to get started is there. While the build quality is excellent, as with any high-end vehicle from the manufacturer, sure rattles and squeaks may eventually make their way into the cabin due to the overly stiff suspension. The seats are well-bolstered for sporty driving and can take a beating without giving way. Some features include built-in rollover bars, a 12-volt outlet, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, air conditioning, cruise control, and a red start button. You may adjust the seat to your comfort level in all four directions. The standard AM/FM/CD stereo is installed, and its eight speakers include several built-into roll bars.
Legroom is 44.3 inches, and headroom is 34.6 inches in both the ragtop and the hardtop versions of the S2000 CR. The Club Racer has bucket seats with more padding and a yellow and black fabric upholstery, whereas the standard version has black leather thrones.

Engine
The S2000’s original engine in the United States was a turbocharged 2.0-liter 4-cylinder known internally as the F20C. It had a top speed of 9,000 rpm, but the low-end torque most Americans appreciate was missing. The previous 2.4-liter engine was replaced with a 2.2-liter one with a lower rev limit (8,000 rpm) but higher torque, although if you looked in the engine compartment, you wouldn’t know the difference. It was never lightning quick, even by 2024 standards, but it still manages to shock and amaze, which is especially impressive given its modest engine size.
The power and torque ratings are 237 hp and 162 lb-ft, respectively. Due to the engine entering the VTEC zone at roughly 6,000 rpm, low-speed acceleration might be sluggish, although this does not improve fuel efficiency. The rear wheels receive power from a six-speed manual transmission that could be the smoothest-moving gearbox you’ve ever rowed. In raw data, it can accelerate from 0 to 60 miles per hour in around five seconds and reach a top speed of 150 miles per hour. The EPA-estimated city/highway/combined mpg for this vehicle is a dismal 18/25/21. This is still inferior to the 17/24/20 mpg offered by the 350Z Roadster, but it’s better than nothing. The S2000’s 13.2-gallon gas tank provides a driving range of approximately 275 miles on a single fill-up.
Next-Gen 2024 Honda S2000 Release Date and Price
Used Honda S2000 costs are lower than a brand-new model’s $34,995-$37,995 MSRP. The newly designed 2024 Honda S2000 will go on sale in June of that year.
