New Honda CR-V 2024 Models, Interior, Specs – The 2024 Honda CR-V, features an all-new exterior and interior to better compete in the cutthroat compact SUV market. The new CR-V promises to bring even more of its signature utility thanks to its larger size and increased passenger space. An available 9.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto is just one example of the cutting-edge technology found inside. Adaptive cruise management, blind-spot monitoring, and lane-keeping assist are just a few of the many driver aids that come standard on every CR-V. The base engine is a turbo-four producing 190 hp, while a hybrid system producing 204 hp is available as an upgrade. All-wheel drive and front-wheel drive are both possibilities. Until we get behind the wheel of a 2024 CR-V, we won’t know if Honda’s claims that it provides a more engaging and refined driving experience are valid.
The next generation of Honda’s compact SUV, the CR-V, will debut in 2024. Among its many enhancements are a larger frame, updated styling on the outside, and a more plush and comfortable interior. A combination of fine-tuned suspension components, stiffer structural elements, and wider front and rear tracks contribute to the new, CR-improved V’s handling and ride quality. Honda has returned the standard turbo-four engine to be more responsive and efficient, and the CVT and all-wheel-drive system are said to be upgrades over the previous generation.

New Honda CR-V 2024 Redesign
Honda’s marketing for the updated CR-V uses tired clichés like “rugged and sophisticated” Although the name isn’t very creative, the design is reminiscent of the Ridgeline pickup and the Passport TrailSport. A new L-shaped taillight cluster sits at the end of the body, which connects to the large grille in front. While the aggressive bumper design and mesh grille in gloss black is standard equipment on the Sport and Sport Touring siblings, the EX and EX-L models’ grilles are finished in matte black with chrome surrounds. To further distinguish the latter two, they have been given rectangular exhausts. A roof-mounted spoiler is regular on all models, with a matte black finish on the Sport and a gloss black finish on the Sport Touring. The three base models ride on Berlina Black-painted 18-inch wheels, while the Sport Touring upgrades to 19-inch split five-spoke alloys.
It hasn’t been officially announced what colors the Honda CR-V will be available, but the debut model has been shown off in a new dark blue and two shades of gray. It’s to be expected that the traditional Honda colors of white, black, and red will be included. Due to the extensive upgrades, this vehicle is significantly larger than its predecessor. The 2024 CR-V is now 2.7 inches longer overall and has a wheelbase that’s 1.6 inches longer. The new layout allows for an additional 0.45 inches of width. The dimensions are 184.8 inches long, 106.3 inches wide, and 73.4 inches tall, and the wheelbase is 106.4 inches. Unknown at this time is how much heavier the new CR-V will be than the outgoing model (which weighed 3,337).

Interior
The air vents in the Honda CR-V are hidden in a stylish honeycomb-textured insert that spans the entirety of the dashboard. An analog speedometer and a 7.0-inch display framed by the steering wheel give the driver access to various digital menus. Honda claims the new CR-V Driving V’s position and front seats reduce driver fatigue on long trips. There is ample storage room in the center console between the front seats, and the rear seats recline to provide an extra 0.6 inches of legroom over the outgoing CR-V. Cargo capacity is 36 cubic feet behind the second row, or 39 cubes in gas-only models with the load floor lowered.
When equipped with the EX or Sport trim, the CR-Infotainment V’s system is controlled by a 7.0-inch touchscreen. In addition to supporting Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, the system also includes traditional volume and tuning knobs. A 9.0-inch screen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto is standard on the EX-L and Sport Touring. The larger display doesn’t have a tuning knob, but it does have a volume knob and built-in navigation, as well as two USB-C ports for passengers in the back and wireless phone charging. The CR-V Sport Touring is the only trim level that can be had with the 12-speaker Bose sound system.

Engine
With the next-generation CR-V, Honda is consolidating the traditional and hybrid CR-V lines into a single family of vehicles. As standard equipment, Honda equips the CR-V with a 1.5-liter Civic SI turbocharged engine. This engine is tuned to produce 190 horsepower and 179 lb-ft of torque in the EX and EX-L trims. The latter can be expected to arrive at its full range of 1,700-5,000 rpm (300 rpm) sooner than before. This powerplant is linked to a front-wheel drive via a CVT. Getting into the Sport and Sport Touring trim levels boosts the engine size to 2.0 liters but eliminates the turbo. In combination with the new two-motor, the side-by-side hybrid system is a 2.0-liter Atkinson-cycle four-cylinder. There is an increase of 3 HP over the previous hybrid CR-V, with a total system output of 204 HP and 247 lb-ft (using the ISO net measurement).
In addition to the standard Normal, Econ, and Snow driving modes, all-wheel drive now features hill descent control. All-wheel drive is still an available extra on lower trims but is standard on the Sport Touring. The Sport mode is available on the Sport and Sport Touring models. The 1.5-liter turbo models should keep the same 28/34/20 mpg city/highway/combined EPA ratings as the current crossover, but the Sport and Sport Touring, which will have a new hybrid system, should get better gas mileage than the 40/35/38 mpg EPA ratings of the 2022 CR-V Hybrid.
New Honda CR-V 2024 Release Date and Price
Honda has been mum on the cost of the 2024 CR-V but has promised excellent value. The Toyota RAV4, priced between $27,000 and $38,000, is stiff competition, so the company must stick to its pricing policy. If Honda keeps the current CR-V’s point, we can anticipate a modest increase. Although the hybrid versions of the 2024 CR-V were not revealed until July 2023, Honda says that the regular models will go on sale this summer.
