New 2024 Honda Pilot Release Date, Engine, Price – The Honda Pilot, a perennial best-seller and a standout among midsize SUVs for its versatility, is back for 2024 with more features than ever included as standard equipment. The LX and EX model levels of the 2024 Honda Pilot have been discontinued and replaced by the Pilot Sport and TrailSport. In addition, the 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system and LED headlights are now included as standard equipment.
Honda has left the Pilot’s most popular features unchanged despite significantly reorganizing the trim levels. Because of this, the Pilot still has a respectable towing capacity of 5,000 pounds and a helpful payload volume of 16.5 cubic feet. The 2024 Pilot, on the other hand, is a hit or miss because it reminds many people of the Odyssey minivan in SUV form. Furthermore, Honda has declared the release of a brand new Pilot Special Edition for the latter half of 2018. The Ford Explorer, Subaru Ascent, Toyota Highlander, Kia Telluride, and Hyundai Palisade are just some of the competitors the 2024 Pilot faces on the market.

New 2024 Honda Pilot Redesign
There isn’t much going on, and we believe that the Honda Pilot’s outdated aesthetic is one of its significant flaws. The Pilot is typical of Honda in that it is pretty functional, has a good set of standard amenities, and has good fuel efficiency for a large SUV. Still, it opts for a conservative design over a more modern one. The Pilot’s lackluster appearance and wagon-like side profile make it look less relaxed than rivals like the Kia Telluride. However, a Special Edition trim level of the Pilot is available from Honda, and it comes with a unique set of black alloy wheels. The Honda Pilot Black Edition has a bit more swagger, but we’re still not convinced. Low-beam LED headlights and LED foglights are standard across the board. All trim levels arrive standard with a power moonroof and power tailgate (hands-free above the EX-L level). The elite models have a panoramic roof. Depending on the trim level, wheels can be either 18 or 20 inches in diameter.
If the 2024 Honda Pilot’s uninspiring design wasn’t bad enough, the available paint jobs aren’t much better. We get that Honda wasn’t trying to make the Pilot a fashion plate, but with all the cool cars coming out of South Korea and abroad, the company might want to reconsider its color palette. Fortunately, a wider variety of shades becomes available as you move up the scale. The Pilot comes in six colors for the base model: Crystal Black, Modern Steel, Lunar Silver, and Obsidian Blue. The unique $395 hues are platinum white pearl and steel sapphire metallic. There is one more unique hue, Deep Scarlet, available on the Touring and Elite models in addition to those already present on the EX-L. The Special Edition comes in six colors: Crystal Black, Lunar Silver, Modern Steel, and the three premium colors. At the same time, the Black Edition is only available in Crystal Black or Platinum White.

Interior
The New 2024 Honda Pilot Cabin is roomy and well-designed, offering features like an in-flight PA system that are great for families. There are 16 cupholders spread around in the Pilot’s Cabin, and the climate controls and the gauge cluster are both straightforward to read and use. The second row of seating in most trim levels is configured as a three-across bench to accommodate a maximum of eight passengers. More expensive variants swap out the bench seating for two captain’s chairs, lowering seating capacity from seven to five. But because of the short seat cushion in the third row, it is only beneficial for children.
The Pilot’s elevated driving position, oversized windows, and thin, inconspicuous roof pillars provide the driver with a commanding perspective of the road. The Honda’s cargo space is enormous, and many convenient storage compartments are inside. The Elite and seven-seat Touring grades include a fixed second-row center console that reduces cargo space compared to the eight-seat layout while being among the roomiest SUVs in their class. The cargo floor is flexible, so you can either make the most of the available volume or build a secret storage room underneath the bed.

Engine
Any Honda’s greatest asset is the dependable engine that sits under the hood. Constant improvements and a more contemporary approach to design have resulted in increased output. The base engine for the new 2024 Honda Pilot is a 3.5-liter V6 that breathes through a naturally aspirated system, and a ZF 9-speed automatic transmission is now standard equipment. The SUV impresses its strong delivery, as seen by its 280-horsepower and 262-pound-foot torque output. The SUV may pick up a few hundredths of a second in the 0-60 mph dash by making the body longer and lower to the ground.
The 2024 Honda Pilot is the quickest vehicle in its class, accelerating from 0 to 60 mph in about 6.2 seconds and traveling the quarter mile in 14.8 seconds. The acceleration of rivals like the Subaru Ascent and the Toyota Highlander is identical, taking 6.9 and 7.2 seconds, respectively. The Pilot drives better than most SUVs in its class and has a comfortable cabin for its passengers.
New 2024 Honda Pilot Release Date and Price
The lowest, newly introduced Sport grade of the new 2024 Honda Pilot has a manufacturer’s suggested retail price (MSRP) of $36,830, and the highest-end Pilot Black Edition costs $50,620. Honda plans to release the Pilot in 2024, so we should find out more about the new vehicle by the end of 2023, when it is scheduled to premiere.
