Honda S2000 2024 Redesign, Changes, Release Date – Critics praised the 2024 Honda S2000’s race-ready handling and responsive acceleration thanks to its rear-wheel drive, 2.2-liter four-cylinder engine, and six-speed manual transmission. Critics, however, warn that maintaining a high rpm is essential for optimal performance. The only transmission option is a manual, which received high marks for its seamless shifts from reviewers. The S2000 gets 18/25 mpg city/highway, which is typical in the affordable sports car class. On winding roads, reviewers loved the S2000’s superior handling dynamics. However, they noted that long trips and bumpy roads are made more unpleasant by a vehicle with a stiff suspension.
The Honda S2000, according to critics, prioritizes exterior performance over passenger convenience. Although most reviewers agreed that the cabin’s spare design wasn’t tacky, they were united in their distaste for the tight quarters afforded to the driver. Cargo capacity of 5 cubic feet is low for the class but is on par with the other two seaters. The 2024 Honda S2000 has a standard power-retractable soft top, leather upholstery, air conditioning, and a CD player. The CR trim removes the air conditioning and sound system but adds a removable hard top and fabric seats with suede inserts to reduce the overall weight of the S2000. Comparable-priced sports cars from other manufacturers offer more features than standard equipment. These include things like Bluetooth connectivity, heated seats, and satellite radio.

Honda S2000 2024 Redesign
It’s impossible to mistake the S2000 for a Mazda Miata. This sleek machine has a sculpted body and temptingly flared arches, making it a good choice for any day of the week. It looks like it’s been planted somewhere and ready to pounce at any second. In addition to being the only Honda S2000 model with a hardtop, the S2000 CR takes things to the next level with a race-inspired removable roof, seatback cowls, and a substantial rear wing. The fact that it looks modern even after a decade is a testament to how well it was executed and guarantees that this design will last forever among the most beautiful.
The standard model’s exterior features a remote entry system with an automatic trunk release, an electrically powered soft top that is still one of the quickest to drop, and dual-outlet exhaust pipes. A lightweight aluminum hood and light alloy wheels measure 17 inches in diameter and come in silver or gray, depending on whether you go for the base model or the CR.

Interior
We’re glad the S2000’sdesign philosophy doesn’t permit a luxurious cabin. It has everything you require to get started, but that’s about it. The build quality is excellent, as is typical of the brand’s higher-end models, but the stiff suspension means that there will eventually be some rattles and squeaks inside the car. The seats are well-bolstered and durable, making them ideal for fast driving. Air conditioning, cruise control, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, an aluminum shift knob, built-in rollover bars, a 12-volt outlet, and a red start button are all standard features. There are four directional adjustments for the chair. The standard AM/FM/CD stereo system is installed, and it has eight speakers, some of which are built into the roll bars.
The ragtop and hardtop S2000 CR models have 44.3 inches of legroom and 34.6 inches of headroom. The Club Racer is different from the standard version because it has yellow and black fabric-covered bucket seats, while the standard version has black leather-covered thrones.

Engine
The S2000’s initial US release featured the F20C, a 2.0-liter 4-cylinder engine. It was never lightning fast, even by 2024 standards, but it still surprises you, given its modest four-cylinder engine. A 9,000 rpm redline wasn’t a problem for this motor, but it was severely lacking in the low-end torque prized by American drivers. The original 2.4-liter engine was replaced with a 2.2-liter unit that could only rev to 8,000 rpm but had more torque; however, unless you opened the hood, you would never know the difference.
The power and torque results are rated at 237 horsepower and 162 lb-ft, respectively. The powertrain can be sluggish at low speeds because it needs to enter the VTEC zone at about 6,000 rpm to get moving, but this is at the expense of fuel economy. The drive is routed to the rear wheels via the best shifting six-speed manual transmission you’ll ever row. In terms of raw data, it will be able to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in the middle of the five-second mark and top out at a sprightly 150 mph. The EPA-estimated city/highway/combined mpg for this vehicle is a dismal 18/25/21. This is a slight improvement over the 350Z Roadster’s 17/24/20 mpg. When entirely fueled, the S2000 can travel about 275 miles before needing to find a gas station.
2024 Honda S2000 Release Date and Price
Used Honda S2000 prices are now lower than the $34,995-$37,995 MSRP range that the car had when it was first released. New for 2024, Honda’s S2000 is set to hit the market in June of that year.
