All the features you require and more are included in the seat price. However, the infotainment system is not always user-friendly.
All-New 2024 Honda CR-V Hybrid Redesign
To be sure, the current Honda CR-V SUV is a well-executed crossover, but it hardly qualifies as thrilling. The new one is styled in a more manly way. Its blacked-out grille is flanked by smaller headlights that use a minimalistic LED lighting signature. Similar to the existing design, the clusters of taillights rise well above the glass in the back. However, for the 2024 model year, the chrome beam that ran over the trunk was eliminated. A better aesthetic result can be seen by moving the license plate holder higher.
Honda typically doesn’t go crazy with exterior color options, but we don’t know what the CR-V Hybrid will look like. In addition to the standard whites, blacks, and greys, you may also encounter less common shades of blue and red. The grilles of the Sport and Sport Touring trims are black, setting them apart from the base model and other higher-level trims. The Sport has black 18-inch wheels, while the Sport Touring upgrades to silver 19-inch wheels.
The interior of the CR-V Hybrid is modern and fashionable, and it looks great and is filled with plenty of high-quality materials. Those inside are protected from the wind and the sounds of the vehicle. You can fit a whole family in the CR-V Hybrid. Long trips in the car are made more bearable thanks to the plush upholstery and ergonomic design of the driver’s seat. Space is not an issue for the head or legs in front and back. Sometimes it’s a hassle to use the Honda’s entertainment system. The touchscreen is sluggish to respond, and the visuals aren’t as sharp as those on competing devices. And because some of its features are hidden in submenus, accessing them while driving can be challenging. The only physical controls are the volume knob and the buttons on the steering wheel.
There is also the 2019 Honda CR-V Hybrid’s comfortable seating to consider. Honda claims that their body-stabilizing seats help with posture and weariness. The new CR-Vs should be even more pleasant with nearly half an inch of increased back legroom. The materials look fantastic, too. Stylish touches can be found throughout the Sport Touring, including black or gray leather and a metal honeycomb mesh dashboard. On the Sport and Sport, Touring trim grades, black hybrids with orange stitching stand out.
The latest All-New 2024 Honda CR-V Hybrid power plant is a 2.0-liter Atkinson-cycle four-cylinder. The integrated output of the two electric motors is 204 horsepower, with an instantaneous torque of 247 lb-ft and a maximum speed of 2,000 rpm. The Hybrid is the first to have a towing capacity, although a modest one of only a thousand pounds. Reasonable hill descent control for the first time adds a little more capability. Due to their new side-by-side mounting arrangement, the two electric motors can now be combined into a single, more powerful propulsion motor. All-wheel drive is open for all trim levels and comes standard on the Sport Touring. Given these parameters, we anticipate a 0-60 mph time of roughly 7.5 seconds, which is on par with what was accomplished by the outgoing model.
Expect it to be inexpensive, too, as the present CR-V Hybrid delivers 40/35/38 mpg city/highway/combined and has a well over 500 miles capacity. No official EPA ratings for the new CR-V Hybrid have been released as of yet. The 1.5-liter turbo four-cylinder engine that powers the non-hybrid CR-V (reviewed separately) produces 190 horsepower and 179 pound-feet of torque and is mated to a continuously variable transmission.

The pricing of the 2024 Honda CR-V Hybrid has not been released, but it is likely to be higher than that of the current model. In comparison, the base price of a 2023 Honda CR-V Hybrid is $32,010. We expect the new one to have a price tag of $33,000 at the very least. While the full-size 2024 Honda CR-V is set to hit the market this summer, the hybrid version won’t hit stores until the latter half of next year.
