2024 Honda S2000 Interior, Redesign, Pricing – Honda’s two-seat, four-wheel sportbike delivers the thrill of a rear-wheel-drive roadster in a well-balanced chassis. A manual six-speed gearbox coupled to a high-revving four-cylinder engine produces 237 horsepower. Who cares if the inside is loud and the trunk is tiny if the engine can reach 8000 rpm? The S2000CR is a genuine track rat because of its stiffer suspension and other aero equipment, such as a giant wing.
Rear-wheel drive, a 2.2-liter four-cylinder engine, and a manual gearbox were standard equipment on the 2024 Honda S2000, which received plaudits for its race-car performance. However, detractors caution that keeping the RPM high is necessary for the best performance. There is just a manual transmission available, although reviewers have lauded its smooth shifts. The S2000’s fuel efficiency of 18/25 mpg in the city and highway is comparable to that of other affordable sports cars. The S2000 has won plaudits for its performance on winding roads and superb handling abilities. They did notice that long trips on bumpy roads are less comfortable in a car with a firm suspension.
2024 Honda S2000 Redesign
An S2000 would never be mistaken for a Mazda Miata. The sleek machine’s chiseled frame and seductively flared arches will turn heads no matter the week’s day. It appears to be set up and prepared to strike at any time. The CR is unique among Honda S2000 models in that it has a retractable canopy for racing, seatback cowls, and a sizable rear wing. The design is so fantastic that even after ten years, it still appears fresh. It never goes out of style.
External features of the basic model include dual-outlet exhaust pipes, an electrically powered soft top (still one of the fastest-dropping in the business), and a remote entry system with an automated trunk release. To save weight, both the basic derivative and the CR have 17-inch light alloy wheels (silver on the base, grey on the CR) and an aluminum bonnet.
Interior
We wouldn’t want it differently, but the S2000’s philosophy forbids a luxurious interior. The bare minimum is there, but it has everything you need to get going. Although the build quality is good, as with any high-end car from the manufacturer, the too-stiff suspension may cause rattles and squeaks entering the cabin. The seats can take a battering without exhibiting signs of wear and are well-bolstered for spirited driving. Built-in rollover bars, a 12-volt outlet, a steering wheel covered in leather, air conditioning, cruise control, and a red-start button are a few of the highlights. The chair has four directions of movement. The standard AM/FM/CD radio comes with eight speakers, some of which are built into the roll bars.
The S2000 CR provides 34.6 inches of headroom and 44.3 inches of legroom with either the ragtop or the hardtop. The bucket seats in the Club Racer are more padded and covered in yellow and black fabric. This makes them different from the black leather seats in the standard model.
Engine
When the S2000 was first made available in the US, it used a 4-cylinder, 2.0-liter engine, internally referred to as the F20C. Although this engine could reach 9,000 rpm, American drivers preferred low-down torque. Later, a 2.2-liter engine with a lower top speed (8,000 rpm) and more torque was switched in, yet the engine compartment still has the same appearance as before. Even by 2009 standards, it was never very speedy, but it still startled, especially given its small four-cylinder engine.
It should produce a combined 237 horsepower and 162 pound-feet of torque. Acceleration at low speeds may be slow since the engine must enter the VTEC zone at around 6,000 rpm to begin moving, but this compromises fuel efficiency. A six-speed manual transmission that could be the best you’ve ever driven sends power to the rear wheels. The 0-60 mph sprint will last for around five seconds and reach a peak speed of 150 mph. The 18/25/21 mpg estimates provided by the EPA are hardly fuel-efficient. Comparing this to the 350Z Roadster’s 17/24/20 mpg shows a modest improvement. The S2000 can go around 275 miles with a full tank of gas. The vehicle can hold 13.2 gallons of petrol.
2024 Honda S2000 Release date and cost
The advertised price for the Honda S2000 at launch was from $34,995 to $37,995, but the cost of a used model has already dropped below that range. In the summer of 2024, the Honda S2000 is expected to make its North American debut.
