2024 Honda Ridgeline Specs, Models, Release Date – The Ridgeline is an unusual midsize pickup from Honda. In contrast to competitors like the Chevrolet Colorado and the Toyota Tacoma, both body-on-frame pickups, the Honda Ridgeline is a unibody vehicle. As you drive it, you’ll notice that it has the same underpinnings as the Honda Pilot, another three-row SUV with unibody construction. The unconventional design of the Ridgeline’s body allows it to provide the conveniences of an SUV while also having the towing capacity and load space of a pickup truck. This reduces the Ridgeline’s off-road potential compared to the most aggressive variants of its rivals, but it helps it shine in the city. The 2024 Ridgeline is only available as a four-door crew cab with a five-foot bed and is powered by a 280-horsepower V-6 mated to a nine-speed automated transmission.
Traditional body-on-frame pickups that offer sufficient towing and capable off-roading have saturated the market for midsize vehicles. The Ridgeline, meanwhile, is aimed at those looking for a more luxurious and economical option. While more expensive versions tend to have more bells and whistles, the RTL offers the best balance of features and affordability. The Ridgeline RTL further improves upon the already well-equipped base model in terms of essential equipment. The front seats are heated, and the front and rear seats may be adjusted electrically. 2024 Honda Ridgeline Redesign
The 2024 Honda Ridgeline rides comfortably and securely thanks to its unibody construction, which is often more robust than most conventional body-on-frame designs. Additional colors, including Modern Steel Metallic and Obsidian Blue Pearl, are included with no extra charge in the RTL and RTL-E’s paint packages. At the same time, Pacific Pewter Metallic is available for an additional $395 in the RTL and RTL-Premium E’s paint packages. Crystal Black Pearl, Platinum White, and Sonic Gray Pearl are the only colors available for the Black Edition, with the latter costing an extra $395.
The 2024 Honda Ridgeline cabin is unparalleled in terms of usability and passenger comfort. Like most midsize trucks, the Honda has a lot of harsh plastic under the dashboard. On the whole, the materials are above par. There is more room in the back than in any other vehicle in its class, whether midsize or more significant. Due to the low position of the center console between the front seats, the inclusion of fold-down armrests on both chairs is much appreciated. The Honda pickup has the second-lowest volume (at 34 cubic feet) and one of the shortest beds (at 5.3 feet) on the market, matching the length of its competitors. The solution to this inequity is a lockable, watertight trunk concealed beneath the bed’s floor and accessed from above. It can hold up to 7.3 cubic feet of stuff. Inside are more ingenious details. With the back seat folded up, there’s enough room for a full-size bicycle. Since the rear doors don’t swing very far, it could be challenging to carry bulky objects.
The 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system is standard on every Ridgeline. According to Honda, it is easier to operate than its predecessor thanks to several new features, including an actual volume knob and on-screen iconography. Unfortunately, we have yet to get a chance to put this claim or the new Display Audio system to the test. Likewise, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay are installed as standard equipment in every Ridgeline. In addition, specific makes and models include an optional in-bed stereo system that is sure to keep the tailgate party rockin’. Finally, vibration-activated actuators convert the cargo area into a massive speaker.
The only drivetrain option is standard all-wheel drive and a nine-speed automatic transmission. The 3.5-liter V-6 generates 280 horsepower. When you press the accelerator pedal, the engine responds smoothly and eagerly. The Ridgeline is a very non-standard pickup truck that offers many pleasant surprises when you get behind the wheel. It’s polite and confident on the road. Unlike the competition’s leaf-sprung, solid-axle systems, its coil-sprung, independent rear suspension allows for a more car-like ride. There is almost no lean in the turns, and the bumps are hardly perceptible. Right at home with the electronic power assist on the steering wheel. Regarding dynamics, the Ridgeline’s weakest point is how well it stops. The stopping distance from 70 mph to zero is relatively long, and we found the brake pedal to be overly mushy and have too much motion under usual driving conditions.
Although it looks excellent, the Honda Ridgeline pickup cannot tow. All new Ridgelines have all-wheel drive and a 5,000-pound towing capacity, making them lighter than competitors like the Chevrolet Colorado and Ford Ranger by 2,000 and 2,500 pounds, respectively. As a result, the Ridgeline can transport almost as much weight as Colorado but less than the Ranger.

The base Sport trim level of the 2024 Honda Ridgeline can be had for $38,800. The RTL and RTL-E are priced between the base and premium models at $41,780 and $44,730, respectively. Pricing for the Black Edition starts at $46.230 before options are added. The destination fee of $1,295 is not included in these suggested retail prices. The all-new 2024 Honda Ridgeline, which brings back a popular model from the company’s past, will go on sale sometime in June 2023.
