2024 Honda Prologue EV Engine, Interior, Release Date – Honda’s second try at an EV, the tiny 2024 Prologue SUV, is on schedule and competitive because of a cooperative development collaboration with GM. This comes after the failure of the Clarity car. We don’t know much about it at this point, but a concept sketch shows that the Prologue has the potential to be attractive thanks to its vast wheels wrapped in thick rubber, low front and back overhangs, and minimalistic headlights. We anticipate the Prologue to be around the same size as the gas-powered CR-V, though it will likely have a lower roofline like the Mazda CX-50.
The Prologue will ride on a platform co-developed with GM, sharing its Ultium battery packs with upcoming GM EVs such as the Cadillac Lyriq and GMC Hummer EV. Expect about 300 miles of range per charge if the Prologue uses the same 100-kWh battery as the Lyriq. Acura, Honda’s luxury brand, will also make a Prologue model, which is likely to be called the ADX.

2024 Honda Prologue Redesign
The Prologue’s wheels will be pushed deep into the bends, typical with EVs because the same design limitations do not constrain them as gas-powered vehicles. Trying to guess the size of the crossover from the images Honda has published is a tall order, but based on the silhouette, the new EV will be either a compact or a two-row midsize offering. Recent trends indicate that the Prologue will adopt an external design that gives the impression of ruggedness without adding any real toughness. The picture shows a car with prominent fender flares and thick, blacked-out lower sills that make it look like it has more ground clearance and a more aggressive stance.
According to Honda, the Prologue’s appearance “represents the clean, uncomplicated, and timeless principles of the worldwide Honda design philosophy.” At the same time, the vehicle’s “long wheelbase, low overhang, and robust stance shod with a competent tire” all contribute to this impression. But Honda has not yet shown off the Prologue’s interior or provided any information about it.

Interior
The Prologue, built on the same Ultium chassis as the rest of GM’s EV lineup, is expected to offer a roomy cabin. Since there was no conventional drivetrain in the way, Honda could pack as many people and things as possible into the house. Current Honda models lack the several huge displays used by other manufacturers. This makes us think that the Prologue will have a completely new or much better infotainment system, unlike other Hondas.
Although much of the Prologue’s driver comfort and infotainment technology will be re-branded GM material, Honda has included some of its innovations. There will be a wireless charging pad, a fully digital instrument cluster, and software updates that can be done over the air. Also, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto will work wirelessly.

Engine
The Cadillac LYRIQ is the closest General Motors electric car to match up with the Honda Prologue. It comes standard with an electric motor fitted to the vehicle’s rear axle, and an all-wheel drive variant is also offered, with electric motors installed at the vehicle’s front and back axles. The 340 horsepower LYRIQ with rear-wheel drive comes standard, while the 500 hp model with two engines is available as an option. It is predicted that the LYRIQ’s battery pack, which has a capacity of 100 kWh, will allow the vehicle to go up to 312 miles.
The 2024 Honda Prologue will be an electric car with a range of up to 300 miles per charge and the option of front or all-wheel drive. There’s talk of this very competitive EV being categorized as a midsize SUV, with space for up to seven passengers. Honda is planning to equip their EV with a 100 kWh Ultium battery and a 340 hp, rear-mounted electric motor that generates 325 lb-ft of torque. More and additional charging stations are being installed across North America, making switching to a more eco-friendly vehicle easier.
2024 Honda Prologue Release Date and Price
The Prologue is scheduled to be on sale in 2024, so we should find out more about the new vehicle by the end of that year. The 2024 Honda Prologue EV SUV’s pricing has not yet been announced. However, Car and Driver predicts that the base price of a 2024 Prologue would be around $45,000. Following Honda’s regular LX, EX, EX-L, and Touring trim levels, the auto site also included an estimated beginning price breakdown of prospective Prologue grades, with the LX at $45,000, the EX at $48,000, the EX-L at $51,000, and the Touring at $55,000. In the US, the 2024 Honda Prologue is expected to come out in the summer.
