2024 Honda Passport Redesign, Colors, Availability

2024 Honda Passport Redesign, Colors, Availability – The 2024 Honda Passport is highly useful because of its vast cargo space and passenger comfort. Those who want more than two rows of seating may wish to consider the three-row Honda Pilot, the Passport’s first cousin, but the Passport is otherwise delightfully adequate in many respects. All models feature various driver-assistance technologies, including adaptive cruise control and lane-keeping assist. The only energy source is a robust V-6 engine that is not fuel-efficient but gives intentional acceleration. The 2024 Passport is a largely gratifying and uncomplicated method of transporting families and their belongings.

For 2024, Honda tackles one of our primary problems with the Passport: its anonymity. Using a distinctive 18-inch wheel-and-tire combination, the new TrailSport model accentuates its off-road-inspired aesthetic. Its front fascia is more assertive, has a thicker grille and squarer proportions, and its front and rear bumpers are more robust. In addition, it has significantly wider front and rear tracks, which Honda claims enhance its stability. The remainder of the lineup has received more subtle upgrades, including a newly standard rear-seat reminder and contrast stitching on the leather-appointed seats of the EX-L level. The Honda Performance Development (HDP) look package is now available for the Passport, just like it is for the Honda Ridgeline. It includes a different grille, black fender flares, specific wheels, and an HDP logo on the rear fenders.

2024 Honda Passport Redesign

While the exterior design of the Passport SUV has always been relatively subdued, it wasn’t the ugliest vehicle on the road; it was only forgettable. This year’s styling upgrade delivers a more aggressive front end, a revised grille and bumpers, and a hood with a power bulge. In addition, the bumpers and exhaust finishers are distinct. The base model has automatic LED headlights, rear privacy glass, dual-exit exhaust, LED brake lights, and programmable smart remote entry. All versions use 20-inch split-spoke alloy wheels, except the new TrailSport, which features 18-inch two-tone alloy wheels with massive 245/60R18 tires. In addition to black “Passport” and “AWD” branding, the TrailSport features orange “TrailSport” branding. All grades have a power moonroof with a one-touch operation, walk-away auto lock, memory-linked side mirrors, and a power liftgate. The Elite is equipped with a hands-free tailgate. All trims include front and rear parking sensors. Roof rails are standard on the TrailSport and Elite and available on all other edges.

Despite being classified as a medium SUV, the Honda Passport appears larger in person than competitors such as the Chevrolet Blazer and Subaru Outback. The Passport has a wheelbase of 111 inches and an overall length of 190.5 inches. Its 78.6-inch width and 71.6-inch height give it a lot of presence, augmented in AWD form by an additional 0.6-inch size. Front and rear tracks measure 67 inches in 2WD models and 66.7 inches in AWD models, except the TrailSport AWD, which has ways measuring 67.1 inches. The Passport weighs between 4,057 and 4,236 pounds (FWD/AWD) in its standard configuration. At the top of the lineup, the AWD-only Elite weighs 4,262 pounds. FWD cars have a ground clearance of 7.5 inches, whereas AWD cars have a clearance of 8.1 inches. Approach and departure angles for FWD models are 20,1 degrees and 23,4 degrees, respectively, while AWD vehicles give 21,1/24.3 degrees for approach and departure angles.

The 2024 Honda Passport body style is complemented by a limited palette of exterior color selections. Crystal Black Pearl, Lunar Silver Metallic, Obsidian Blue Pearl, Radiant Red Metallic, Sonic Gray Pearl, and Platinum White Pearl are the six standard colors available on the base and Elite versions. If you’re a bit bolder, use Radiant Red instead of Lunar Silver Metallic. TrailSport’s Obsidian Blue is lost.

Interior

The Honda Passport is a midsize SUV between the smaller CR-V and the more extensive three-row Pilot. The Passport has been a popular option for those seeking an SUV with a contemporary exterior and a good cabin. Finally, in 2024, Honda determined that the Passport required significant modifications. The 2024 Passport gets a new look, an 8-inch multimedia display as standard on all trim levels, new colors for the customizable collection, leather seats with contrast stitching, and a new Off-Road TrailSport exterior look package.

The 2024 Passport comes equipped with five seats. Heated front bucket seats are installed in the first row. The driver’s compartment features a customizable digital instrument cluster and a heated steering wheel wrapped in leather. The driver’s seat is power-adjustable in 10 directions and has power lumbar support. The TrailSport comes with orange-stitched leather upholstery, while the EX-L comes with leather upholstery. The flagship Elite features seats upholstered in perforated leather. Both the front and back chairs are spacious and comfortable. The cabin is cozy, but the firmer suspension may cause occasional jolts. The place is also pretty quiet, and all models come standard with automatic climate control for three zones.

Engine

The engine and transmission under the hood are identical to the pilots. Those who desire the all-terrain capability of all-wheel drive can pay extra; otherwise, the Passport comes standard with front-wheel drive. The SUV has a floor clearance of 7.5 inches (8.1 inches for AWD variants) and can tow up to 5000 pounds. However, while off-road, the two-row Honda has a rough ride, and its high ride height contributes to its top-heavy appearance. On most roads, the ride is smooth, and the steering is pleasingly direct, making the Passport seem agile. In our testing, the Passport accelerated from 0 to 60 miles per hour in 6.0 seconds and accelerated obediently on the highway.

With a single engine option and front-or all-wheel drive, the Passport has two distinct EPA ratings. The front-drive vehicle is anticipated to get up to 20 mpg in the city and 25 mpg on the highway. A Passport with all-wheel drive achieves 19 mpg in the city and 24 mpg on the road. As part of our thorough testing protocol, we put the latter through its paces on our 75-mph fuel-economy route, exceeding its highway rating by three mpg. Visit the EPA’s website for more data about the Passport’s fuel efficiency.

2024 Honda Passport Price and Release Date

The Honda Passport’s prices vary drastically between trim levels, and there is truly something for every budget. The starting MSRP for the FWD 2024 Honda Passport EX-L is $37,870, excluding tax, registration, and a $1,225 destination charge. AWD capability adds $2,100 to the price. The new 4WD-only TrailSport is priced at $42,470, followed by the $45,430 Elite. Wholly outfitted, the Elite will cost close to $50,000. The good news is that it will not be challenging to discover quality used 2024 model for sale at a price far inferior to that of a new Honda Passport. The 2024 Honda Passport will make its debut in May.
